Jamaica covers an area of 4,244 square miles and is the third largest island in the Caribbean, after Cuba and Hispaniola. The population consists mostly of black and mulatto descendants of African slaves. Small minorities from the United Kingdom, India, China, Syria, Portugal, and Germany also live in Jamaica.
The country promises paradise with fine beaches, jungle mountaintops and the chance to choose a private villa in a resort, or just immerse in the island life. Hiking or horseback riding is an amazing way to explore Jamaica while scuba diving is perfect for seeing Jamaica below the surface.
