Indonesia

Indonesia is the sleeping giant of Southeast Asia and the largest archipelago in the world.  It straddles the Equator and between the Indian Ocean and the Pacific Ocean.  It borders with Malaysia to the north, East Timor and Papua New Guinea to the east, Australia to the south and Palau, the Philippines, Vietnam, Singapore and Thailand to the north.

The size of Indonesia is so large that it offers the visitor a very unique experience.   Whether shopping in the country’s capital, Jakarta, visiting temples, enjoying the beaches and resorts in Bali, or discovering further remote villages or the jungles of Borneo and Papua, one is sure to be overwhelmed by Indonesia's diversity. Parts of the archipelago left unexplored are regions of dense jungle, massive mountains and volcanoes. Visitors may see fiery tropical sunsets, bird sized butterflies, and prehistoric Komodo dragons, across more than 17 000 islands - more than one third are uninhabited.
